  • Where processing happens: Only matters if the document is sensitive. For a public screenshot it is irrelevant.
  • Recognition languages: i2OCR publishes the widest list, including Indic scripts.
  • PDF input: A real gap here. If you have multi-page PDFs, the other two are the better tool.
  • Output formats: If you need a formatted document rather than raw text, this site is the wrong choice.

Choose i2OCR when…

  • Your text is in a script Tesseract handles poorly or not at all. i2OCR publishes 128 languages including Indic scripts — the widest list of the tools compared here.
  • You have PDFs. i2OCR accepts image-based PDFs; Txt2Img.click does not accept PDFs.
  • You want a searchable PDF, Word or HTML file out. Txt2Img.click produces plain text only.
  • You are OCRing something heavy and would rather their server spent the CPU than your laptop.

Choose Txt2Img.click when…

  • The document is sensitive. i2OCR uploads your file and states it is deleted after 30 minutes; Txt2Img.click never transmits it, which is a different guarantee — you are not trusting a retention policy, there is nothing to retain.
  • You have a batch. i2OCR’s free tier processes one image or PDF page at a time; here you can run as many as your device will sit through.
  • You are offline, or on a connection that makes uploading painful.
  • You want to verify the privacy claim yourself rather than read one. Disconnect the network after the page loads and extraction still works — no upload-based tool can do that.

The honest summary

i2OCR wins on breadth: more languages, PDF input, more output formats. If your constraint is an unusual script or a PDF, use it — Txt2Img.click cannot help you there. The reason to pick Txt2Img.click is narrower and harder to match: the file stays on your machine, and you can prove it in about a minute. Everything else about it is ordinary.
